It's for you if...
Jinious is for those who recognise themselves in one or more of the situations below:
You have an idea you want to bring to life
You hold a strong intuition, but the path from concept to technical reality remains blurry.
Your project isn't moving as fast as you'd like
It already exists, it works, but the pace is running out of breath. New features take longer, and the initial momentum fades.
You want a single point of contact
You're looking for someone who's truly invested, who understands your context — not a team that turns over every three months.
You want clarity on what's actually feasible
You want a straight answer on what can be done, in how much time and for what budget. No fog, no empty promises.
You want to build something that lasts
You want to move fast, on solid foundations. A product that stays maintainable, scalable, and that holds up over time.
You want someone who thinks alongside you
You expect a technical partner who challenges your ideas, suggests, flags risks and arbitrates.
If this rings a bell, Jinious might be exactly what you need.

Four ways to work together.
No rigid menu, no packaged offer. We pick together what makes sense for your context, stage and budget.
Technical audit
Diagnosis of a project or codebase. Identified risks, prioritised recommendations, technical debt estimate. Often a gateway into a longer engagement.
For whom
First meeting · situation to clarify · need to see clearly
End-to-end product build
Design, development and shipping of a complete product. From the first line of code to deployment, solo or in tandem.
For whom
Founders with an idea · need someone who delivers
Shared technical leadership
Part-time technical steering: architecture, roadmap, structural decisions, sometimes team leadership. Without the cost of a full-time hire.
For whom
Structures without a CTO · need a technical compass
Targeted development
Dev work on a specific scope: integration, a particular feature, module refactor, marketing/brochure site, tech debt to clear. Shorter, more focused.
For whom
Punctual, well-scoped needs · project already framed
Not sure where to start? Let's talk it through.
How our engagement unfolds
The previous diagram shows the trajectory. This part details the execution: organisation, steering rituals, milestones and deliverables.
Onboarding
I take the time to understand your context: stack, team, priorities, ways of working. A clear understanding so we move forward in the right direction with confidence.
Execution framing
We align together on priorities, working pace and success criteria. Who does what, how often we sync, how we measure progress. Short, concrete, useful.
The cadence
A steady rhythm: progress, decisions, adjustments. No useless meetings — useful syncs at an agreed cadence. The mission moves forward, you stay in the loop.
Clean handover
When the mission winds down, we prepare the handover together: documentation, knowledge transfer, recommendations for what comes next. You're autonomous and able to move forward once the mission is done.

More projects in the ideation stage. Building also means experimenting, all the time.
Collaborations that make a difference
“David quickly grasped our needs and delivered a site that truly reflects who we are, in an impressive timeframe. He worked with rare commitment, as if the project were his own.”

Director and co-founder · IMMERSION
Behind every success, a solid collaboration. Let's build yours.
Hi, I'm David
I've been a developer and technical lead for 15 years. I co-founded a startup, built a mobile app with over 100,000 users, made bad architecture calls, and learned not to repeat them.
Today I work as a technical right-hand for startups and SMEs that want to move fast without piling up hidden problems. I also build my own products, because a good technical leader has to know what it's like to build, not just to supervise. I also share what I learn on my blog, davidmoothen.com.
I work fully remote from Paris, open to hybrid for missions in the Île-de-France region.
What you get with me: someone who understands both the technical and the business side, says what they think, and is here to make it work — not to bill hours.
What I get asked most often
I advise AND I code, on the same mission. Concretely: we define the architecture, the stack and the priorities together (the advice part), and I get my hands on the code to ship what we decided (the execution part). Not a consultant who stops at PowerPoint, not a dev who executes silently — a partner who thinks with you and ships.
Long ones, clearly. My best fit is becoming your long-term technical partner — someone who knows your product, your market and your constraints. My most recent clients kept me between 3 and 7 years. I also take shorter missions (audit, targeted dev) when they make sense, especially if they then lead into ongoing work.
With an agency, you pay for the project manager, the salesperson, the technical director and the overhead. With me, you talk directly to the person who codes, decides and ships. Over the long run, it's faster, more committed and cheaper. If you need a team of 5+ people in parallel, I'm not the right fit — and I'll tell you so.
It's 2 days of analysis for €1,500–2,000. I run a full diagnosis of a project or codebase: identified risks, estimated technical debt, prioritised recommendations. You leave with a clear deliverable, whether you go on working with me or not. It's also the simplest way to start a collaboration: 60–70% of audits lead to a longer mission.
€800 excl. VAT per day, fully remote, on Malt. It's a benchmark, not a fixed price: depending on the format (fixed-price vs T&M, length of engagement, scope), we can adapt. Easiest is to talk it through in a 30-minute call.
I work solo, by choice. No middlemen, no overhead, you talk directly to the person doing the work. For occasional needs that fall outside my scope (design, content, very specific expertise), I can rely on a network of trusted freelancers — but I keep the steering.
At every stage — what changes is the nature of the intervention. Idea stage: design + first prototype, from scratch. MVP / early stage: development, architecture choices, shipping to production. Growing product: technical refactor, debt to clear, scaling. Pivot or rebuild: audit, repositioning, targeted reconstruction. I've worked across each of these contexts, with a preference for non-technical founders and SMEs going through a digital transformation.
It varies depending on current missions. Easiest is to take 30 minutes to talk. If I'm not immediately available, I'll tell you straight away and we'll see if the wait fits your timeline.
It depends. I don't have a fixed price grid, so we can often find a format that fits your stage and your means — for example starting with an audit, scoping aggressively, or spreading things over time. But if the goal is "the cheapest provider on the market", I'm not the right fit. Best is to talk for 30 minutes — no commitment.
Yes, systematically. It's part of my daily workflow — for code, documentation, audits, technical watch. A few concrete results: IMMERSION site shipped in 3 days, Wedding SaaS MVP in under 10 days, CV Builder in under a day, JLink MVP in under an hour. AI accelerates what I already know how to do — it doesn't replace understanding the need, choosing the architecture, or debugging a tricky case in production. To me, in 2026, a developer who doesn't use AI is no longer competitive. But a developer who only uses AI, with no experience to steer its outputs, produces code no one can maintain. I sit in the middle: 15 years of experience to frame what we build, AI to move fast, and an advisory posture to make the right calls.
